ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATE OF ORIGIN

A certificate of Origin is an important international trade document attesting that goods in a particular export shipment have been wholly obtained, produced, manufactured, or processed in a particular country.

ZNCC issues two types of certificates of origin:-

1. Preferential

2. Non-preferential

Interested stakeholders for certificates of origin include the following:-

1. Customs administrators

2. Importers

3. Freight forwarders and

4. Banks

The issuance of these certificates in the isles comes from the government of Zanzibar’s decision to delegate such role to the private sector – ZNCC.

HOW TO USE ELECTRONIC SYSTEM FOR ISSUANCE

An exporter is required to access the online system through this link http://mis.zncc.or.tz/ to request for certificate of origin which will simplify his/her process by first registering and filling the information of the required certificate and finally submit his/her request for processing at the Chamber by Signatories. For exporters to the EU region, they are now requested to register and get their certificates through this link https://customs.ec.europa.eu/rex-pa-ui/#/create-preapplication/ After filling the forms, print, stamp and send to TRA and a copy to us.
